"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it" Proverb 22:6
We were delighted to welcome teachers from our partner school in Sierra Leone, as part of the Hastings–Sierra Leone Friendship Link, to join us at Forest School. This visit offered a valuable opportunity to strengthen our partnership and promote global citizenship, giving children a real sense of connection beyond their local community. During the session, the children took part in a range of hands-on activities, including a scarecrow-making competition, toasting marshmallows over the fire, and exploring the site to identify plants and fungi. They also challenged themselves on the ropes, building confidence and safely testing their boundaries. It was a wonderful experience that celebrated shared learning, cultural exchange, and the universal value of outdoor education.
