Car Park Arrangements

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety of all pupils, staff and visitors, we have reviewed our parking arrangements and introduced a new Car Parking Statement, which will come into effect from 1st September 2026.

The safety of children is our highest priority. The school car park is a busy environment and, with over 400 pupils arriving and leaving the site each day, it is essential that vehicle movements are carefully managed.

The school car park will continue to be reserved primarily for authorised staff and official visitors. Parents and carers should not use the school car park for the drop-off or collection of pupils.

To help keep everyone safe:

· Parents and carers arriving late should park safely and legally on surrounding roads and walk to the school office using designated pedestrian routes.

· The accessible parking space remains available only for approved use by vehicles transporting eligible pupils with accessibility or mobility needs.

We understand that some pupils may have exceptional circumstances which make access to the school car park necessary.

Parents and carers may request permission by completing a Car Park Access Request Form, available from the school office. Each application will be considered individually and any permission granted will be entirely at the discretion of the Headteacher. The Headteacher's decision is final and cannot be appealed.

Any permissions previously agreed before September 2026 will need to be resubmitted using the new application process.

We appreciate that parking arrangements can sometimes be frustrating; however, all members of our staff have a responsibility to implement and enforce the academy's safety procedures.

Abusive, aggressive, threatening or intimidating behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated. Any parent, carer or visitor displaying such behaviour may be asked to leave the school grounds immediately and may have any permission to use the school car park withdrawn.
