At St Leonards, our Forest School sessions offer an exciting way to enrich your child’s learning by blending outdoor adventures with the national curriculum. Each session brings classroom topics to life through hands-on activities that spark creativity, critical thinking, and foster a deep connection to nature. Children will take part in tool use, bushcraft, and collaborative challenges, all designed to build essential life skills and create lifelong learners, helping every child to achieve their God given potential!

A typical Forest School session might see children building dens, crafting with tools, or working on projects inspired by their class texts—like creating a life-sized dragon trap from the book, How to Catch a Dragon! These sessions are guided by the children’s curiosity, with flexible plans that allow them to explore their own interests whilst giving structure and reassuring familiarity.
