"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it" Proverb 22:6
Our Academy is a safe and happy environment where everyone knows your name.
St. Leonard’s Church of England Primary Academy works with East Sussex County Council admissions team to allocate Academy places for our reception intake.
However, our Pupil Administrator handles any admissions for other year groups and for anyone wishing to join during the academic year.
The criteria to determine how places are allocated is listed in the admissions booklet.
For admissions & appeals, you can apply online, please visit East Sussex County council – Admissions
Select admissions. Register and then apply. East Sussex County Council still handle and process appeals. Please contact them directly on 03456080190 quoting Admissions- East Sussex Area.
If you have applied and have been refused a place, you may add your child to our waiting lists. Please note that we recommend that your child is sent to another school whilst you are waiting for a place as we cannot give any indication of timescales for the availability of places.
See East Sussex website about term dates and admissions.
These are the preferred and quickest methods to apply but if you experience difficulties please contact Miss Thomas in the Academy office.
The best way to learn about our Academy is to visit us. We encourage you and your child to see for yourself what we’re really like, to ask questions and to discuss any matters with the headteacher.
Please contact the Academy office to arrange an appointment to tour the Academy, meet the staff and see the children at work.
Please see our admissions policy below (please note that this is currently under review):
