Who are the PTA and what do they do?

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) plays a vital role in building a strong, supportive school community. Made up of dedicated parents, carers, and staff, the PTA works together to enrich the educational experience of all our children.

The PTA organise events, fundraisers, and activities throughout the year—from school fairs and discos to bake sales and raffles—all aimed at raising funds to support the school. They raise money to fund the little (and big!) extras that make a big difference—think playground equipment, learning resources, and unforgettable experiences.

Beyond fundraising, the PTA also fosters closer links between home and school, encouraging communication, collaboration, and a sense of belonging.

Together, we’re helping to create a vibrant, inclusive school environment where every child can thrive.

Meet the team

Chair – Kelly Monforte

I have truly enjoyed being a part of the St. Lens PTA over the past three years. I joined the team to help organise fantastic events and raise funds for my children’s school. Throughout this journey, we've learned a lot and had a great deal of fun along the way.

I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together — from running tuck shops and discos to hosting summer fairs and wreath making sessions, and so much more. It’s been a rewarding experience to contribute to our school community and create memorable moments for the children.

Secretary – Laura Morgan 

I love being on the PTA and having fun doing the events with a brilliant group of people and I really enjoy seeing the fun the children and their families have. 

In my spare time I love going on adventures especially theme parks and rollercoasters! 

Committee Member – Michael Plummer 

Michael was coopted into the PTA while in his role as a Parent Govenor, when it reformed in November 2022.  Since then, he has been a part of the committee and been heavily involved in the organisation of events and the fundraising.  Helping grows the school community have been Michael's  mission, allowing all see what a wonderful school we are part of.  

Michael has recently been elected to Chair of Governors and is looking forward to continuing his work to raise awareness of the great work done by St Lens and the PTA

Committee Member - Sam Halle

My name's Sam and I have 2 daughters, one of which is currently in Year 2. I really enjoy being part of that PTA, getting together and planning ideas which the children will love and also raise money for some fantastic school causes.
