Year 1

This class signals the introduction to the national curriculum but also builds on the goals and ethos of the early years foundation stage. It is a time when the children start to develop their abilities in every area of the curriculum, building on their experiences in reception class and extending their knowledge and understanding at a pace. They become more confident in all areas of Academy life and develop as individuals within a wider community.
